September 1, 2026 QUEENS, NY Deadly violence pierced the quiet hours of a Queens neighborhood early Tuesday morning, leaving a 31-year-old woman dead from a savage knife attack and a desperate hunt for her killer now underway.

The gruesome discovery unfolded at approximately 2:40 a.m. inside a residence nestled near the corner of Rockaway Boulevard and 145th Street in South Jamaica. Officers attached to the NYPD’s 113th Precinct rushed to the scene following a frantic 911 distress call summoning help to the property.

Upon forcing entry, responding cops walked into a horrific scene. The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, lay lifeless with multiple severe stab wounds concentrated primarily on her left arm, indicating a desperate struggle for survival. Emergency medical services arrived moments later, but the extent of her injuries was catastrophic, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The victim's remains were subsequently transferred to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where forensic pathologists will conduct an autopsy to officially establish the exact cause and manner of death.

Detectives are combing the residence for forensic evidence, canvassing the surrounding blocks for surveillance footage, and interviewing neighbors who may have heard the fatal altercation pierce the night. As the sun rises over South Jamaica, the killer remains at large, and police urge anyone with information regarding the homicide to contact authorities immediately.
