May 2, 2026 BRONX, NY The shadow of a hospital is usually a place of healing, but on a Tuesday evening in the Bronx, it became a stage for a horrific display of violence that left three men bleeding and a community on edge.
A Sharp Turn for the Worse
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on April 29, the relative calm outside NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx was shattered. What began as a verbal dispute between three young men and a mysterious duo—a man and a woman—spiraled into a life-altering encounter in a matter of seconds.
According to investigators, the argument reached a fever pitch at 3424 Kossuth Ave. when the female suspect bypassed words and reached for a weapon.
The Path of the Blade
With terrifying precision, the woman reportedly brandished a "cutting instrument" and went on a relentless offensive against the group:
-
The 28-year-old victim: Sustained a defensive slash wound to his hand.
-
The 18-year-old victim: Suffered a harrowing stab wound to his torso.
-
The 24-year-old victim: Bore the brunt of the rage, receiving stabs to both his upper back and the back of his head.
In a twist of grim irony, the victims only had to stagger a few yards to reach the emergency room doors of the very hospital they were standing in front of. All three were listed in stable condition, surviving an ordeal that could have easily turned fatal.
The Vanishing Act
As the victims sought life-saving care, the suspects didn't stick around to answer for the carnage. The man and the female attacker vanished into the Bronx streets, leaving the NYPD to piece together a motive for the sudden explosion of violence.
The NYPD is now in a race against time to identify this dangerous duo before they strike again.
