The NYPD has launched a massive manhunt for the predator, and they need the public's eyes to help bring this monster to justice.
The Stalking on the Bx9
The horrifying ordeal began at around 10:00 PM on Tuesday, June 23. According to law enforcement sources, the young victim was riding a northbound Bx9 bus when the suspect first locked eyes on her and approached.
When the bus pulled up to the stop near Broadway and West 261st Street, the teenager stepped off into the night—unaware that the predator was stepping off right behind her.
Ambushed and Dragged Into the Dark
The moment their feet hit the pavement, the nightmare escalated. Police report that the suspect immediately went on the attack, overpowering the young girl. He grabbed her and violently dragged her off the street and into a secluded, wooded area inside Van Cortlandt Park.
Once hidden by the darkness and the trees, the perpetrator sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing deeper into the night.
Urgent Community Alert: This dangerous predator is still walking the streets. Police have released surveillance images from inside the bus in hopes that someone recognizes his face or clothing before he can strike again.
