June 15, 2026 QUEENS, NY New York City police have a dangerous predator off the streets, but now they face a chilling question: How many other women has he targeted?

Following the dramatic arrest of 31-year-old Oscar Vallejo last week for a brutal kidnapping and rape spanning Brooklyn and Queens, detectives are sounding the alarm. Given Vallejo’s disturbing criminal history, authorities strongly believe there may be other survivors out there—and they are urgently pleading for them to come forward.

The Night of Terror: Ambushed on a Scooter

The nightmare unfolded on the night of May 30 at around 9:50 p.m. A woman was walking near the corner of Sutter and Williams Avenues in Brooklyn when Vallejo allegedly rolled up on a scooter.

What happened next was a terrifying, calculated abduction. According to the criminal complaint from the Queens District Attorney’s Office, Vallejo cornered the woman and issued a chilling ultimatum:

“Get on… I’ll hurt you if you don’t get on.”

To ensure she wouldn't scream for help, Vallejo lied and claimed an accomplice in a nearby car was waiting to snatch and hurt her if she didn't comply. Fearing for her life, the victim trapped herself on the back of his scooter.

The Highland Park Horror

Vallejo drove the terrified woman to Highland Park. Sensing a moment to escape, the victim made a desperate run for it into the darkness of the park.

She didn't make it far.

Prosecutors say Vallejo chased her down, tackled her to the ground, and threatened to murder her while brandishing a bottle. Seconds later, he subjected her to a horrific sexual assault before fleeing into the night.

The Critical Flaw That Blew the Case Wide Open

The victim immediately reported the attack, sparking a massive manhunt by the 104th Precinct and the Queens Special Victims Squad. It didn't take long for detectives to get their breakthrough—and it came from Vallejo’s own rap sheet.

Forensic teams recovered fingerprints from the Highland Park crime scene. When detectives ran them through the system, they got a perfect match. Vallejo’s prints were already in the database from two prior convictions for forcible touching on November 20, 2024, and February 27, 2025.

On June 11, police closed in and slapped handcuffs on Vallejo. He now faces a mountain of severe charges, including:

  • Two counts of rape

  • Kidnapping

  • Sex abuse

  • Assault

HUNT FOR MORE VICTIMS: NYPD Fears Captured Queens 'Scooter Rapist' Has Striking History of Terror!
Police said that Oscar Vallejo, 31, allegedly attacked a woman on the night of May 30 and sexually assaulted her inside of Highland Park.

At his arraignment on June 13, Judge Edwin Novello ordered Vallejo held without bail. He is scheduled back in court on June 17.

Are There More Victims? How to Report

Because Vallejo was convicted of sexual misconduct twice in the span of just a few months before committing this escalated, violent abduction, the NYPD is convinced this was not an isolated incident. They believe he may have used his scooter to target, intimidate, and assault other women across the city.
