June 28, 2026 BROOKLYN, NY What was supposed to be a peaceful Saturday afternoon in a popular Brooklyn green space shattered into absolute horror when a violent knife fight erupted, leaving a 21-year-old man dead and another victim fighting for survival.
The bloodbath unfolded in broad daylight inside Dyker Beach Park, terrifying local residents and sparking a massive police response to the usually quiet neighborhood hub.
The Midday Ambush
The chaos began at approximately 1:54 PM on Saturday, June 27. Panic broke out near the intersection of 86th Street and 14th Avenue as witnesses scrambled to call 911, reporting a brutal, active knife attack involving multiple men inside the park.
Officers from the 68th Precinct rushed to the scene, expecting the worst—and finding it. On the grass, they discovered 21-year-old Manuel Estanislao Chox Choc bleeding out from horrific, repeated stab wounds across his entire body.
A second victim, a 30-year-old man, was found nearby also suffering from severe injuries sustained in the blade battle.
Chaos at the Hospital
Emergency medical personnel rushed both men to Maimonides Medical Center in a desperate bid to save their lives. Tragically, Chox Choc’s injuries were too severe; doctors were unable to stabilize him, and he was pronounced dead.
The 30-year-old victim survived the initial intake but remains in the intensive care unit in critical condition.
Under the Radar: Sources familiar with the ongoing investigation have revealed that this wasn't a random mugging or a spontaneous argument. Investigators believe the bloody clash stemmed from a vicious, premeditated gang brawl that spilled out into the public park.
