Authorities are currently combing the area for clues and hunting for the perpetrator responsible for the brutal slaying of a 33-year-old man just steps from his own front door.
The violent incident unfolded at approximately 9:45 p.m. on August 23 directly in front of an auto repair shop situated at 220-20 Merrick Boulevard in Laurelton. Officers attached to the 116th Precinct rushed to the location following an urgent 911 call reporting an active assault.
Upon arrival, first responders discovered local resident Jose Scott collapsed on the pavement suffering from severe trauma.
