October 5, 2026 BROOKLYN, NY What was supposed to be a routine late-night fast-food run dissolved into pure horror on a quiet Brooklyn street corner.
Just after 9 p.m. on Saturday, two 36-year-old men were sitting inside their vehicle in the parking lot of a Burger King at 65th Street and 14th Avenue in Dyker Heights. Without warning, their doors were yanked open by two unknown men, plunging a neighborhood commercial strip into violent chaos.
The Savage Ambush
Before either victim could react, the attackers unleashed a brutal, unprovoked assault using heavy hammers.
The assailants repeatedly struck both men across the head with relentless force. Blood spilled across the pavement as the victims suffered deep scalp lacerations and severe blunt-force trauma.
Determined to survive, the bloody and battered victims managed to drive themselves away from the scene and transport themselves directly to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn. Medical staff immediately treated the pair for severe head wounds, and both men remain in stable condition on Sunday.

The motives behind the horrific beatings remain completely unknown. Authorities have not determined whether the violence stemmed from an attempted carjacking, a personal dispute, or a terrifyingly random attack.
The perpetrators fled the scene on foot, last seen running northbound along 14th Avenue.
