July 5, 2025 Bronx, NY – The New York City Police Department (NYPD) has issued an urgent plea to the public for assistance in locating a mother and her young son who have been reported missing from the Bronx's 42nd Precinct. Lakiesha Lawton, 49, and her 2-year-old son, Akim Alcius, were last seen on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at approximately 4:00 PM, leaving 1481 Washington Avenue.
Authorities are intensifying their search efforts and are urging anyone with information, no matter how small, to come forward.
Details of the Missing Individuals
Lakiesha Lawton is described as a Black female, 5'6" tall, and weighing approximately 150 pounds. When she was last seen, Ms. Lawton was wearing an orange t-shirt, blue jeans, and gray-and-white sneakers.
Her son, Akim Alcius, a 2-year-old male, is approximately 3 feet tall and weighs 32 pounds. He was last seen in a black baby stroller.
Both individuals reside within the confines of the 42nd Precinct.
