July 8, 2025 PELHAM PARKWAY, The Bronx – A quiet Bronx neighborhood has been rocked by the death of a 77-year-old woman, found beaten in her home Monday morning. Marsha Greenberg, of the Bronx, was discovered with severe head injuries at approximately 7:30 a.m. inside a residence near Barnes and Brady avenues in Pelham Parkway. She was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
The NYPD swiftly launched a homicide investigation. By 4:45 p.m. the same day, authorities took 73-year-old Jeffrey Kolin into custody. Kolin has since been charged with a litany of serious offenses, including murder, manslaughter, two counts of strangulation, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Police confirmed that Kolin and Greenberg shared the same address, though no further details about their relationship or the circumstances leading to the alleged assault have been released at this time.
