January 26, 2026 If 2025 was the year of the "situationship" burnout, 2026 is officially the year of The Radical Reveal.
At Liv Sparks University, we don’t do "playing it cool." We don’t do the three-day text rule, and we certainly don’t do the "vague-booking" of our intentions. This semester, our focus is on Truecasting—the art of showing up as your unfiltered, unapologetic self from the very first "hello."
What is Truecasting?
In the past, we were taught to present the "highlight reel" version of ourselves. We hid our quirks, downplayed our ambitions, and curated our profiles to look like a generic luxury travel ad.
Truecasting flips the script. It means:
-
Leading with your "hot takes" (yes, even the polarizing ones).
-
Admitting you want a committed relationship instead of "seeing where things go."
-
Showing your real-life hobbies—whether that’s competitive chess in Washington Square Park or your obsession with 1970s interior design.
Dating for the "Lore"
We’re also seeing a rise in Love-Loreing. New Yorkers are tired of the stagnant coffee date. They are dating "for the plot." They are choosing experiences that create a story—pottery classes in Bushwick, midnight tours of the Met, or even just saying "yes" to a date that feels a little outside their comfort zone.
Why? Because even if it doesn’t end in a second date, it ends in a life experience. You are the main character of your own story; start acting like it.
The Assignment: The Intention Audit
Before your next date, I want you to perform an Intention Audit. Ask yourself:
-
Am I hiding a part of my personality to be more "marketable"?
-
If this date is a total disaster, will the "lore" (the story) still be worth it?
-
Am I being "chalant" (caring openly) or just pretending to be "nonchalant"?

Your Daily Affirmation
"I am the architect of my own romantic lore. I lead with my truth because my authenticity is a magnet for the right connection. I do not fear being 'too much' for the wrong person; I celebrate being 'exactly enough' for the right one."
