The incident occurred around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Lafayette Avenue and Malcolm X Boulevard, a busy thoroughfare in the heart of Bedford-Stuyvesant.
According to the New York City Police Department (NYPD), the young victim was attacked by a male suspect wielding a knife. While the weapon was not recovered at the scene, authorities quickly canvassed the area for clues. The suspect reportedly fled on foot and was described as having braids, wearing a white T-shirt, and ripped jeans.
