A 15-year-old boy became the victim of a stabbing incident near a high school in New York City on Wednesday morning, according to police reports. The event has raised concerns about student safety in the vicinity of educational institutions.

The stabbing occurred in South Jamaica, specifically near the intersection of Baisley and Guy R. Brewer boulevards. Police responded to the scene at approximately 8:10 a.m.

The location of the incident is reported to be just two blocks away from August Martin High School, highlighting the close proximity of the violence to the school environment.

Victim's Condition:

Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered the teenage boy with a stab wound to his chest. He was promptly transported to a local hospital and, thankfully, is currently listed in stable condition.
