March 2, 2026 QUEENS, NY It was supposed to be a quiet Saturday morning in Queens, but before the coffee was even brewed, the floor of a local storefront was stained with the price of a heated argument.

Just before 5:00 a.m. on February 28, a routine disagreement at 37-13 103rd St. in Corona escalated from words to a weapon in a heartbeat. Now, the NYPD is hunting a man with a "sharp object" and a violent streak, and they need your help to put him behind bars.

From Words to a Bloodbath

The victim, a 26-year-old man, found himself locked in a verbal dispute with an unknown assailant inside the store. While the NYPD hasn't disclosed what sparked the fight, the consequences were immediate and devastating.

What started as a "fracas" quickly turned into a life-or-death struggle. In the middle of the physical altercation, the suspect pulled out a blade, lunging at the younger man’s neck. The assailant didn't stick around to see the damage; he vanished into the dim morning light of Corona, leaving a trail of blood and a victim fighting for stability.

The Suspect: Have You Seen Him?

The NYPD has released images of the man they believe is responsible for this brazen attack. He is described as:

  • Appearance: Medium complexion with distinct, long curly hair.

  • Clothing: Last seen wearing a black-and-blue jacket over a black t-shirt.

The victim was rushed by EMS to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital. Miraculously, he is listed in stable condition, but the psychological scars of a blade to the throat are not so easily healed.

A Surprising Dip in Violence

The 115th Precinct has been working overtime to keep the streets of Queens safe, and the numbers show they’ve been winning—until now. As of February 22, felony assaults in the area were actually down 37.7% compared to last year (43 incidents vs. 69 in 2025). This weekend’s violence is a grim reminder that statistics mean very little when you're the one looking down the edge of a knife.
