September 15, 2025 HARLEM – A violent mugging in Harlem has left a 49-year-old man hospitalized and the community on edge. Police are now asking for the public's help to identify four suspects who brutally attacked the victim in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m. in front of 2271 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. According to authorities, the victim was approached by four individuals who started a verbal dispute that quickly escalated. The group then began to repeatedly punch and kick the man, even after he fell to the ground. While he lay helpless, the suspects stole his wallet and cellphone before fleeing the scene on foot.
The New York Police Department has released a description of the four individuals, though no further details are available at this time. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
