Grisly Discovery Shakes Castle Hill Community
November 6, 2025 BRONX, NY A quiet Wednesday morning in the Bronx turned into a scene of unimaginable horror after four individuals were discovered dead inside a fifth-floor apartment at the Castle Hill Houses public housing complex, located at 2225 Lacombe Avenue. Law enforcement sources are currently operating under the assumption of an apparent murder-suicide.
The grim discovery was made around 9:45 a.m. on November 5th when acquaintances visited the residence to perform a wellness check and immediately called 911. Responding units from the 43rd Precinct were met with a devastating scene.
Victims Identified and Evidence Recovered
All four victims—two men and two women—had sustained significant bodily trauma, with strong indications that gunshot wounds were the cause of death. A firearm was recovered at the scene, bolstering the initial theory of a murder-suicide scenario.
The deceased were found in various locations within the apartment:
- A man in his 20s was found near the front door.
- A 44-year-old man was discovered on a couch.
- Two women, aged 26 and 75, were found in the rear of the residence.
Locals stated that the younger man and the 26-year-old woman were believed to be in a relationship. The oldest victim, a 75-year-old woman, was reportedly a well-known and beloved figure in the building.
Investigation Update: No Forced Entry, Motive Unknown
Detectives have confirmed there were no signs of forced entry into the apartment, suggesting the perpetrator was someone known to the victims. Authorities have stated they are not actively searching for any additional suspects at this time.
