March 25, 2026 BROOKLYN, NY A quiet night in Brooklyn turned into a waking nightmare this week when a violent predator cornered a woman inside a local store, launching a depraved attack that has the entire community on edge.
The NYPD is now pleading for the public’s help to identify a man caught on chilling surveillance footage following the heinous incident in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
A Conversation Turned Deadly
The attack unfolded around 12:50 a.m. on March 22 near the intersection of Myrtle and Lewis Avenues. According to law enforcement, a 50-year-old woman was inside a commercial establishment when she was approached by the suspect.
What began as an unwanted conversation quickly escalated. Police say the man made aggressive sexual advances; when the victim bravely refused him, the encounter turned physical.
The Attack and The Theft
Authorities report a violent struggle ensued. Within seconds, the assailant overpowered the victim and sexually assaulted her.
Adding insult to the traumatic injury, the "creep" didn't stop there. Before fleeing into the night, he stripped the woman of her belongings, including:

The victim was later transported to NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital. While she is listed in stable physical condition, the psychological scars of such a brazen violation are unimaginable.
