October 10, 2026 QUEENS, NY Special Victims detectives in New York City are issuing an urgent public alert following the arrest of a senior citizen accused of a horrific crime against a child in Queens. Investigators strongly suspect the suspect may have targeted other young victims in the community and are urging anyone with information to immediately come forward.
Shocking Attack Inside Commercial Establishment
Members of the NYPD’s Queens Child Abuse Squad took 72-year-old Nazim Uddin into custody following a month-long investigation into an incident that occurred in early September.
According to police sources:

Date & Location: The attack took place around 7:00 PM on September 8 near 75th Street and 101st Avenue in Ozone Park, just steps away from Uddin's residence.

The Incident: Uddin allegedly sexually abused a 12-year-old girl inside a commercial business located in the area.

Key Unknowns: Authorities have not yet confirmed whether Uddin was employed at the establishment, visiting as a customer, or if he had any prior connection to the young victim.
