This highly anticipated free outdoor concert, presented by Didi and Oscar Schafer, is a must-attend event for families and music lovers across NYC.
A New Era Begins: Gustavo Dudamel Conducts in The Bronx
This year's Concerts in the Parks holds special significance as it marks one of the first major appearances of Gustavo Dudamel as the Philharmonic’s incoming Oscar L. Tang and H.M. Agnes Hsu-Tang Music and Artistic Director. Witness history in the making as this internationally acclaimed conductor leads the NY Phil in a memorable evening under the stars.
The concert kicks off at 8:00 PM and, in a cherished tradition, will be followed by a dazzling fireworks display, creating a truly unforgettable summer experience.
An Evening of Musical Masterpieces and Exciting Debuts
The New York Philharmonic's Van Cortlandt Park program features a captivating selection of classical works:
- Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4
- Movements from Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite (1919 version)
Adding to the excitement, two world-renowned guest artists will make their highly anticipated New York Philharmonic debuts:

NY Phil Concerts in the Parks: A Citywide Celebration

Free Indoor Concert in Staten Island
For those unable to attend the outdoor events, the Philharmonic will host a Free Indoor Concert in Staten Island on June 8th at 2:00 PM at the St. George Theatre. This performance, featuring musicians from the Philharmonic, will include:
