Monica Trombley ESQ
Partner & Co-Director
Monica Trombley, a partner at New York Craze whose career defies traditional expectations. As an attorney combining a sophisticated command of entertainment law with deep, first-hand industry experience, Monica brings a rare and invaluable dual-threat perspective to the firm.
As a first-generation college and law school graduate, Monica spent well over a decade navigating the fast-paced, high-stakes ecosystem of New York City's entertainment world. Rather than relying on intimidating legalese or standard industry detachment, she prides herself on being a grounded, approachable advocate who translates complex contracts into plain English. For Monica, the entertainment business is built on a simple philosophy: true success starts with trust, authenticity, and a mutual respect for the craft.
What Monica brings to New York Craze goes far beyond traditional legal counsel. Her impact stems from a multifaceted background that includes working as a freelance film producer, actress, singer, writer, model, and podcast host. Having walked directly in the shoes of the talent, she understands the creative heartbeat of a project just as well as its corporate structure, giving her an unmatched edge in talent relations and strategic development.
Beyond her legal expertise, Monica's background includes executive and operational experience within independent film production—covering everything from marketing and strategic planning to high-stakes negotiations. Specializing in the intricate landscapes of music, film, and media, she ensures that artists, creators, and corporate entities are fiercely protected without getting bogged down by bureaucratic friction. Furthermore, she is deeply passionate about amplifying underrepresented voices and bringing marginalized stories to the forefront of modern media.
A graduate of Oglethorpe University with her B.A. and the Quinnipiac University School of Law with her J.D., Monica is admitted to practice law in New York and Connecticut, including the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Her industry leadership is further underscored by her time as Chair of the Entertainment Committee (eMIPS) for the New York County Lawyers’ Association, her published writing, and her role as host of the podcast "The Gorgeous Ginger Lawyer."
As Monica often puts it: "At the end of the day, if you don't have trust, you have nothing. My goal is to clear away the noise and the legal friction so creators can focus entirely on bringing their vision to life." At New York Craze, that commitment to creators is precisely what she delivers every single day.
