September 2, 2025 The New York City Police Department is reaching out to the public for help in a frantic search for a missing teenager who disappeared from his Bronx home over the weekend. Sixteen-year-old Jose Gonzalez was last seen leaving his residence in the 41st Precinct on Saturday, August 2, at approximately 6:00 p.m. and has not been heard from since.
According to a police report, the missing teen is described as a Black male, standing at 5'3" and weighing around 110 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair. No description of his clothing was available. A photograph of the missing teen has been released by the NYPD's Deputy Commissioner of Public Information (DCPI) to aid in his location.
The 41st Precinct, where Gonzalez resides and from which he went missing, is urging anyone with information to come forward. With each passing hour, the urgency to find him grows. The family and police are desperate for any leads, no matter how small.
