January 31, 2026 NEW YORK, NY A quiet Wednesday morning in Manhattan was shattered by an act of unspeakable violence, and now, New York’s Finest are calling on every New Yorker to help lock up the man responsible.

The NYPD has officially named 33-year-old Germaine Parham as the prime suspect in the brutal rape of a 14-year-old girl inside a Stuyvesant Town building. This wasn’t a late-night ambush in a dark alley; the assault took place at 11:42 a.m. on January 29, right in the heart of a residential community.

A Random Act of Terror

According to law enforcement sources, the victim did not know Parham. He allegedly approached the teenager near the corner of 1st Avenue and 1st Avenue Loop, sexually assaulted her, and then callously robbed her of her cellphone before vanishing on foot.

The young victim was rushed by EMS to a local hospital. While she is receiving medical care, the man who upended her life remains on the loose.

A Career Criminal on the Run

This isn't Parham's first run-in with the law. Sources reveal that Parham has a lengthy rap sheet with numerous prior arrests, though the specific details of his history are currently being held close to the vest by investigators.

The fact that a known offender was on the streets and capable of such a brazen daylight attack is sending shockwaves through the neighborhood.
