The NYPD has launched an urgent manhunt, releasing chilling surveillance footage in a desperate bid to track down a monster who struck in the dead of night.
Ambushed in the Dark: The Greenwich Village Nightmare
The terrifying ordeal unfolded at approximately 4:40 a.m. on June 27, near the intersection of West 10th Street and 5th Avenue—a historic, typically bustling area of Greenwich Village.
A 21-year-old woman was walking through the neighborhood when a total stranger materialized from the darkness. Without warning, the predator cornered her and whipped out a knife, using the weapon to threaten her life before subjecting her to a brutal sexual assault.
