June 29, 2025 WAKEFIELD, Bronx, NY – Police are actively searching for the boyfriend of a woman discovered brutally stabbed to death in a Bronx apartment on Saturday night. The incident, which has shocked the Wakefield community, marks another tragic instance of violence in the borough.
Emergency Responders Descend on East 232nd Street
The grim discovery was made after officers from the NYPD's 47th Precinct responded to a frantic 911 call at approximately 8:35 p.m. on June 28. The call, placed by the victim's brother, reported that his sister had been stabbed at a residence located at 667 East 232nd Street.
Upon arrival, first responders entered the apartment to find a harrowing scene. A 40-year-old woman, whose identity is being withheld pending full family notification, was found with multiple stab wounds to her chest and right arm, covered in blood.
Victim Succumbs to Injuries at Montefiore Hospital
EMS personnel quickly transported the critically wounded woman to Montefiore Hospital. Despite their best efforts, she tragically succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
Boyfriend Named as Suspect, Motive Unknown
While police have not yet publicly identified the victim, sources close to the investigation indicate that authorities believe her boyfriend is responsible for the fatal attack. As of Sunday morning, the suspect remains at large, and the motive behind the heinous killing has not been disclosed.
