May 28, 2025 Brooklyn, NY A 51-year-old man is in stable condition after being stabbed in the chest during a verbal dispute at the Grant Avenue subway station in Brooklyn early Tuesday morning. The incident, which occurred around 3:44 a.m. on May 27th, involved an unidentified assailant who fled the scene.

Details of the Subway Stabbing

According to NYPD reports, the victim and the attacker were involved in an argument on the mezzanine level of the Grant Avenue station when the assailant brandished a sharp object and stabbed the victim in the right side of the chest. The motive behind the dispute is currently unknown, and authorities have not yet made any arrests.

Victim in Stable Condition

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) quickly transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he is reported to be in stable condition.

Suspect Description

Police are searching for a male suspect with a medium complexion, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray and white hooded sweatshirt, light brown pants, and multi-colored sneakers.
