April 6, 2026 QUEENS, NY The flickering lights of LaGuardia Airport usually signify arrivals and happy reunions, but last week, they served as the backdrop for a cold-blooded ambush that left an 18-year-old fighting for his life.
A Setup in the Dark
It was just after 11 p.m. on March 28 when the young victim arrived at LaGuardia Landing Lights Park. He wasn't there by chance; he was there to meet a woman he believed he knew—a "possible acquaintance" he had crossed paths with once before.
But the "rendezvous" was a deadly ruse.
The Attack
Within moments of meeting the woman at 25th Avenue and 79th Street, the night took a violent turn. Two men materialized from the shadows, brandishing a knife. Without hesitation, they fell upon the teenager, stabbing him multiple times across his body in a frenzied assault.
As the victim lay bleeding, the cruelty continued. The assailants didn't just want blood; they wanted his belongings. Two of the suspects stripped the jacket from the wounded teen before the trio made their getaway.
The Great Escape
In a brazen move, the three suspects didn't vanish into a waiting car. Instead, they opted for public transit, hopping onto a Q33 MTA bus to flee the precinct.
The Irony of Timing: This brutal attack occurred just days before city officials, including Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Commissioner Jessica Tisch, touted a citywide decline in major crimes. For this 18-year-old, those statistics offer little comfort.
Can You Identify Them?
The NYPD has released surveillance images of the three individuals involved. While the investigation is active, the trail is growing cold, and these dangerous suspects remain on the streets.

The Suspects:
-
Female: Met the victim initially; acted as the "lure."
-
Two Males: The primary aggressors armed with a knife.
