October 24, 2026 QUEENS, NY It was a Friday night that quickly spiraled into a nightmare on a quiet South Jamaica residential block.
What began as a 911 call reporting a home invasion at a house on 149th Street soon unfolded into a chaotic, blood-soaked crime scene involving multiple stab wounds, a frantic key toss from a third-story window, and an officer-involved shooting that left a woman hospitalized.
According to the NYPD, officers from the 113th Precinct rushed to the location between 133rd and North Conduit Avenues at approximately 10 p.m. on October 23. Upon arrival, they were met with eerie silence. For several agonizing minutes, cops pounded on both the front and back doors, receiving no answer as tension mounted outside.
The breakthrough came when two men appeared at a second-floor window. One of them bore visible injuries and yelled down to the officers below, shouting that he had been stabbed by his uncle. He pleaded for help, explaining that he and the others were trapped because the alleged attacker was still downstairs blocking the exit.
Recognizing the gravity of the threat, responding officers immediately called for specialized backup and hostage negotiation teams. Moments later, the scene shifted again when a woman appeared at a third-story window and hurled a set of keys down to the street.
The keys allowed officers to force entry through a rear door, stepping into a residence echoing with screams. Rushing up to the second floor, they breached a small bedroom and walked straight into a horrifying tableau of violence.
According to NYPD Chief of Patrol Philip Rivera, officers encountered three people tangled in a bloody struggle on the floor: one man seated, a second man pinned on top of him, and a woman positioned over both of them.
Officers immediately identified themselves and issued strict, repeated commands for everyone to raise their arms and surrender. Two of the occupants complied, raising their hands. But the woman—ironically, the same person who had tossed the keys down just moments earlier—refused to yield.
Investigators say she held a tightly gripped knife in her hand. Despite repeated verbal warnings, she refused to drop the weapon and began advancing directly toward the officers. When she closed the distance to within several feet, an officer discharged his firearm, striking her. A taser was subsequently deployed as backup officers secured the knife and rushed to pull her from the room.
The wounded woman was immediately carried outside and rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where she is currently expected to survive her injuries.

When the dust settled, authorities recovered three distinct victims suffering from stab and slash wounds inside the residence: a 23-year-old man stabbed in the left shoulder, a 39-year-old man stabbed in the right arm, and a 48-year-old man with a slash wound to his right pinky finger. Miraculously, all three injured men are also expected to survive.
While the full sequence of events inside the home remains under active investigation, police sources indicate that the 48-year-old man is currently being eyed as the primary aggressor who allegedly launched the initial stabbing spree. As of early Saturday morning, formal charges and arrests had not yet been finalized.
Chief Rivera emphasized during a press briefing that the woman shot by police is not believed to have initiated the violence or the home invasion itself. While all the occupants were acquainted with one another, investigators are still working to untangle their exact relationships and piece together what triggered the horrifying bloodshed behind closed doors.
