July 18, 2025 THE BRONX, N.Y. – Police are on the hunt for a man accused of attempting to rape a woman in the Bronx during the early hours of Thursday morning. The incident, which occurred just after midnight, has prompted a public appeal for information.
According to NYPD officials, the 20-year-old victim was approached by an unidentified man at the intersection of East 150th Street and Wales Avenue. The suspect allegedly attempted to sexually assault her, but the attack was unsuccessful. The perpetrator then fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Wales Avenue. Thankfully, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Suspect Description and Call for Public Assistance
Authorities have released a description of the suspect in hopes that the public can assist in his apprehension. He is described as a male, last seen wearing a black hat, a red T-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.
