July 19, 2025 QUEENS, N.Y. – A brazen armed robbery unfolded Saturday afternoon on Rockaway Boulevard, leaving a 68-year-old man shaken and the community on edge. The incident, which occurred inside a local establishment, saw an unidentified assailant brandish a firearm before making off with the victim's necklace.

The broad daylight robbery took place around 3:30 p.m. on July 12 at 133-17 Rockaway Boulevard. According to police reports, the victim was approached by a lone male who displayed a handgun and forcibly removed his necklace. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.

Victim Sustains Minor Injuries, Declines Medical Aid

Despite the terrifying ordeal, the 68-year-old victim sustained only minor injuries and, remarkably, declined medical treatment at the scene. His identity has not been released by authorities.
