June 27, 2026 Queens, NY — Brooklyn & Queens-based collective Gentleman Brawlers have released the official music video for "I'm Jelly," celebrating drag art’s unapologetic self-expression, boldness, and creativity. Released on May 15, 2026, the song blends slap house grooves with clever pop hooks into a satisfying drop. The self-produced music video, released June 1, 2026, was made possible through the generosity of more than 50 donors via fiscal sponsor, The Field, enabling GB to bring together artists from across genres and creative disciplines.

At the center of the video is Gentleman Brawlers frontwoman Becca Fox, joined by an ensemble cast of drag artists—waacking, ‘schmacting’, and cat-walking their way through the song’s verses. "This music video was truly a labor of love, and I couldn't be prouder of the entire cast and crew who brought their talents together to make it happen," says Fox. "For GB, 'I'm Jelly' represents the next level of what we're capable of creating so our music can be seen, heard, and experienced in a bigger way. None of this would have been possible without the support of our community—the people who've shared our music, come to our shows, donated, and believed in us for nearly 14 years. We hope people play this one loud and proud, and we can't wait to see them on the dance floor very, very soon."

The title "I'm Jelly" was inspired by bandmate’s Quincie Hydock recent comment on tour which sparked a playful lyrical exploration in the studio. The song for GB pokes fun at envy while revealing an underlying alter ego whose self-confidence transforms that feeling into a dance-floor anthem.

This video reflects Gentleman Brawlers' ongoing commitment to collaboration, inclusivity, and community engagement. Each video release serves as an extension of the band's music— bold, fun, and rooted in the diverse creative communities that inspire their work.

As veteran Boston Globe contributor Stuart Miller observed, "For Fox and the Gentleman Brawlers, it's about both ideas—finding ways to express the song's meaning through music, but also getting people to start moving and find themselves in the songs, unleashing their 'inner child.'"

"I'm Jelly" will screen following Gentleman Brawlers' live performance at Culture Lab LIC on June 20th as part of the organization's annual Pride celebration. The event coincides with Culture Lab LIC's exhibition, "The Art of Drag & NYC," and will feature a special live collaboration with the punk rock musical Weapons of Mass Seduction, making its Culture Lab LIC debut.
