June 28, 2025 THE BRONX, N.Y. – After eight vibrant years, the Bronx Night Market, a beloved staple of the borough's cultural and culinary scene, is set to close its doors this fall. Organizers have announced a series of five farewell events, promising a memorable final season for the outdoor market that has championed local businesses and entertained over a million visitors.

The final chapter for the popular market at Fordham Plaza begins this Saturday, with subsequent events scheduled for July 26, August 30, September 27, and the grand finale on October 25. Each event will feature live performances and special community tributes, celebrating the market's significant impact since its inception in 2017.

A Legacy of Support for Small Businesses

The Bronx Night Market quickly became a cornerstone for economic empowerment, providing a vital platform for over 1,200 minority and women-owned small businesses. Its impact extended beyond commerce, fostering a strong sense of community and showcasing the Bronx's rich diversity.

The market faced challenges in the past, with a planned closure in 2023 averted by the intervention of Marco Shalma and MASC Hospitality Group. Securing sponsorships and addressing security concerns were recurring hurdles that threatened its continuity.
