July 25, 2025 CLAREMONT (The Bronx), NY – In a disturbing incident that shattered the early morning calm, a man and a woman were injured in a shooting just after midnight today in front of 1365 College Avenue. Police are actively searching for five male suspects who fled the scene.

The victims, identified as a 37-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, were discovered by responding officers shortly after the 12:30 a.m. gunfire. The man sustained a gunshot wound to his right foot, while the woman suffered injuries to her left cheek and the right side of her chin.

Both individuals were immediately transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where they are currently recovering from their injuries. Their conditions have not yet been released, but authorities confirm they are stable.

Witnesses reported that five men fled the scene immediately after the shots were fired. Four of the suspects were described as wearing all black clothing, while the fifth was seen in a gray hoodie. The motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
