July 3, 2025 HARLEM, NY – Two men are recovering at Harlem Hospital after being shot outside the Lambda Lounge, a popular gay bar in Harlem, during the early hours of Wednesday morning, July 2. The motive behind the brazen attack remains under investigation, and police are actively searching for the suspect.

The Incident: What We Know

According to police sources, officers from the 32nd Precinct swarmed the scene at 2256 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd. just before 3 a.m. after a 911 call reported a shooting. Responding officers quickly located a 51-year-old man and a 39-year-old man, both suffering from gunshot wounds to the leg. EMS transported both victims to Harlem Hospital, where they are currently in stable condition.

Suspect at Large

While the investigation is in its early stages, authorities confirmed the suspected gunman fled the scene in a black sedan, heading southbound on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. Detectives are currently conducting a video canvass of the area, poring over surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the shooter. As of now, no arrests have been made.
