June 24, 2025 QUEENS, NY – A woman was tragically shot and killed in broad daylight in Queens yesterday afternoon, and her assailant remains at large. The brazen incident has sent shockwaves through a quiet residential block.

According to police sources, the horrific shooting unfolded just after 2:36 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, in front of 176-11 127 Avenue. Officers from the NYPD's 113th Precinct rushed to the scene following a 911 call reporting a shooting.

Upon arrival, authorities discovered 45-year-old Chaneil Ramsay unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the head. EMS personnel quickly transported her to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The sudden violence stunned local residents. "I came out of the house wondering why there were so many officers outside," one neighbor recounted, visibly shaken by the sight of a massive crime scene in their community. Several shell casings were observed scattered across the pavement, grim evidence of the daytime attack.

As of this morning, no arrests have been made in connection with Ramsay's slaying, and the motive behind the killing remains unknown.
