July 18, 2025 Bronx, NY – A shocking act of violence rocked the Soundview section of the Bronx on Monday, July 14, when local rapper KashOut4E, 27, was fatally shot during a brutal daytime assault that was, astonishingly, broadcast live on a cellphone. The incident, occurring just before 1 p.m. near Commonwealth and Westchester Avenues, has sent shockwaves through social media and the community, sparking intense debate and grief.
The Unfolding Tragedy: What the Livestream Revealed
Eyewitnesses and chilling video footage captured the horrifying events as they unfolded. Two individuals were seen accosting a third man, later identified as KashOut4E. One assailant, dressed in a black shirt and orange shorts, physically attacked the rapper, while his accomplice, in a white shirt and red pants, recorded the entire confrontation, livestreaming it for an online audience.
The situation took a grim turn when KashOut4E, wearing a black shirt and sweatpants, managed to draw a concealed firearm. In a desperate act of self-defense, he fired over his shoulder, striking his primary attacker. The individual filming immediately fled, but not before the rapper fired a second shot in his direction. The shooter was then observed stepping over the wounded assailant before escaping the scene.
Victim Identified, Investigation Underway
The injured man, tragically identified as KashOut4E, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
A witness recounted the terrifying scene to the New York Daily News, initially believing it to be a robbery. "One of the guys was saying 'give me my money, give me my money' like he owed them," the witness stated. "They were kicking him and he was saying 'I don't have no money.'" The witness added, "He pulled a gun out of nowhere and pow pow pow — the guy in the orange went down."
KashOut4E's Legacy and Community Reaction
KashOut4E had begun to carve out a name for himself in the online music scene, known for tracks like “Ransom” and “Don’t Stop/Get Back.” He had collaborated with various artists, including Gotti4E, XayBanks, Stu Gotti, and Gfive Baby, building a modest but dedicated following.
The news of his death has elicited a range of powerful reactions. Friends and collaborators expressed their profound grief online. "NAH GANG WE WS JUST TALKING ON THE PHONE WTF," one friend posted in a heartbreaking tribute, later sharing a hospital photo alongside the rapper's mother. However, in a disturbing display of online animosity, some alleged rivals reportedly mocked KashOut4E’s death, even praising the shooter's aim.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
