July 28, 2025 Jamaica, NY – A Queens jewelry store became the scene of a daring armed robbery last Friday, July 18, when a masked assailant made off with an estimated $65,000 worth of merchandise. Police from the 103rd Precinct are now intensifying their search for the culprit, urging the public to come forward with any information that could lead to an arrest.

The incident unfolded just after 6 p.m. at a jewelry store located at 161-11 Jamaica Avenue. According to NYPD sources, a masked man entered the establishment and confronted a 21-year-old employee. Displaying a knife, he demanded access to a display case. When the employee hesitated, the suspect reportedly reached over, forcibly removing a significant quantity of jewelry before fleeing the scene on foot. He was last observed heading eastbound on Jamaica Avenue toward Merrick Boulevard. Fortunately, the store worker was not injured during the harrowing encounter.

Police describe the suspect as having a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with black specks, black pants, a tan baseball cap, and a blue facemask.

The NYPD is offering a reward of up to $3,500 for information that directly leads to the suspect's arrest.
