July 1, 2025 WAKEFIELD, The Bronx, NY – A tragic domestic dispute in the Wakefield section of the Bronx has led to a murder charge after a 40-year-old woman was found fatally stabbed inside her apartment over the weekend. Authorities have identified the victim as Tamara Rowe and have arrested her boyfriend, 39-year-old Khaleel Cooper, in connection with her death.

The incident unfolded just after 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, according to police. Officers responded to a residential building on East 232nd Street, where they discovered Ms. Rowe suffering from multiple stab wounds, including to her chest and right arm.

First responders rushed Ms. Rowe to Montefiore Hospital, but she tragically succumbed to her injuries.

Officials have confirmed that the stabbing was the result of a domestic dispute between Rowe and Cooper, who was her boyfriend. Cooper was taken into custody on Monday and is now facing murder charges, among others, as the investigation continues.
