November 13, 2025 MANHATTAN & BRONX, NY Seventeen times since September, a lone assailant on an e-bike has struck across Manhattan and the Bronx, carrying out a brazen, multi-borough gunpoint robbery spree. This is not random street crime; this is a calculated wave of terror committed by a suspect who has already demonstrated a willingness to use lethal force.
The NYPD is now in an intensive search for the individual linked to this dangerous series of attacks that has gripped both boroughs for months.
The Spree: 17 Incidents Since September
The attacks have been relentless, starting in September and continuing until just two days ago with the latest recorded incident in Manhattan. These are the markers of a truly dangerous criminal pattern:
- Geographic Scope: The robberies span two major boroughs: Manhattan and the Bronx.
- Repetition: At least two of the robberies took place at the same location—the intersection of University Avenue and the Washington Bridge—suggesting the suspect returns to high-yield spots.
- Escalation: The spree is marked by alarming escalation; in one incident, the suspect fired a shot, turning a robbery into an attempted capital crime.
M.O.: The Gunpoint Blueprint
The suspect operates with a consistent, chilling method designed for maximum speed and intimidation. His choice of transport—an e-bike—allows for rapid approach, immediate confrontation, and quick escape through city traffic.
The signature M.O. (Modus Operandi) involves the suspect:
- Riding up to a victim who is either walking or cycling.
- Pulling out a gun and demanding cash.
- Targeting cash primarily, though the suspect has also tried unsuccessfully to snatch jewelry from victims, sometimes fleeing empty-handed.
Human Cost: Targeting a 76-Year-Old
The severity of the spree hit home on Halloween morning with the robbery of 76-year-old Bronx resident, Jorge Medina.

Medina, victim number 16 in the spree, was confronted by the gunman near Yankee Stadium just after leaving a bank in the West Concourse section. The elderly victim was robbed of $500. His account of the confrontation is stark: "He cut me off. He yelled, 'Give it to me I said, all of it.'"
The Hunt: NYPD Releases Key Evidence
With the suspect’s recklessness rising—evidenced by the recorded shot fired during a recent attack—the pressure is on the NYPD.
Police have recovered and released images and video from the latest robbery in Manhattan, urging the public to assist in identifying the armed individual responsible for this cross-borough crime wave.
