August 21, 2025 BROOKLYN, NY — It was a normal afternoon in East New York, Brooklyn, until it wasn't. Just after 3 p.m. on August 1, a heated argument inside a local deli spiraled into a fatal tragedy that left 33-year-old bodega worker Diego Sandoval-Nava dead. Now, nearly a month later, police have identified the man they believe is responsible for the brutal killing.

Police have accused Oneil Millise of stabbing Sandoval-Nava multiple times at the deli located at 684 Hegeman Ave. According to authorities, Millise first got into a verbal dispute with Sandoval-Nava as he was working. He then left the store, only to return moments later armed with a knife. He allegedly stabbed the victim repeatedly before fleeing the scene in a black sedan.

First responders rushed Sandoval-Nava to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, but he succumbed to his injuries. The attack, which shocked the local community, left many wondering why anyone would commit such a heinous crime. As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
